A Narrative on Natives | Tips for Cool-Growing Native Orchids

Welcome back to all our members and prospective members of Southern Suburbs Orchid Society (SSOS). Our first presentation for 2020 is coming soon.

  • Presenter: Our first guest speaker for 2020 is David Cannon, a director of the Australian Orchid Foundation and current President of the Maroondah Orchid Society.
  • Topic: How to grow cool-growing Australian native orchids, such as dendrobiums, sarcochilus and cymbidiums.

When:  Wednesday 5th February, 2020 – 8.00 p.m. start
Where: N.G.Wishart Senior Citizens Hall, 964 Nepean Hwy, Moorabbin. (Melways Ref. Map 77: D6)

Tea, coffee and light refreshments are included.

  • This session is suitable for all orchid lovers and growers, from beginners through to experienced growers.

Early session: Bring along your questions and/or problem plants. This session will start at 7:30 p.m. and focus on growing and flowering Masdevallias.

Visitors and interested guests are always welcome, so remember to bring a friend – bring many!
